The Glen’s Garden Market in Shaw is now scheduled to serve its last pints of specialty brews on Monday, April 9. But fans can knock back one last round of discounted beer and wine during its farewell party.

The homegrown shop, which started in Dupont Circle, is shutting down its satellite location (1924 Eighth Street NW) after two years due to financial issues. A well-known source for local brews, management announced via social media that the Shaw store will be offering $2 wines by the glass and $2 drafts “to kick the kegs” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 9.

“We hope you’ll join us for a fun evening and then make your way to our Dupont location in the future!” management wrote in the online invite. Other plans for the closing festivities include giving away gift cards to the flagship store, along with access to its community supported agriculture service, memberships to the beer-focused growler club ($66 per person), and branded merchandise.
