Biscuit sandwich lovers have less than two weeks to get their fill of the fried chicken-filled offerings Mason Dixie Biscuit Co. has been serving at a collaborative pop-up in Navy Yard.

The homegrown company shut down its standalone drive-thru in March but has been providing Southeast diners with Southern-style breakfast options for a few months now. Mason Dixie CEO Ayeshah Abuelhiga struck up a deal with Ice Cream Jubilee founder and fellow Union Kitchen alum Victoria Lai to join forces on part-time eatery Minnie, but tells Eater that experiment will end as scheduled this month.

“We will be closing the pop-up on June 1. We are hoping to secure another interim location for June,” Abuelhiga says of her near-term goals.

She tells Eater to stay tuned for Mason Dixie’s next appearance. Abuelhiga adds that work on its new home — projected to be somewhere in Northwest — continues; she now estimates that she could be set up at that location this summer.
