Five-year-old Shaw bar All Souls, the dimly-lit industry hangout that serves affordable alcohol — but no food — is switching things up at its new Atlas District location by adding in pizza.
All Souls’ first sister spot, the Little Grand, is headed to the mixed-use Apollo Building at 600 H Street NE, a budding site that houses critically acclaimed vegan restaurant Fancy Radish, high-end apartments, and Whole Foods. It’ll be located through the alley next to WeWork on Seventh Street NE, confirms owner David Batista. He describes Little Grand as a “small, simple bar” — which could also be said about All Souls — but “with the added bonus of pizza.”
The current location (725 T Street NW) allows patrons to bring in their food. Per Batista, Little Grand’s drink offerings will mirror what All Souls carries (beer, wine, cocktails). District Cuisine got people talking by posting a flyer that hinted at impending H Street arrival. Stay tuned for more details.
For now, keep an eye out for hot local chefs like Bad Saint’s Tom Cunanan and Ellē’s Brad Deboy while drinking at the original.
