Arlnow reports that sometimes irreverent Arlington mainstay Linda’s Cafe is closing next month. General manager Joe Ellian tells Arlnow he has 30 days to vacate the premises (5050 Lee Highway) so that the new owner, local chain Bob & Edith’s Diner, can take possession of its latest acquisition.

Coming attractions

A tipster sent Popville some pictures of the new stand opening Tuesday, June 12 at dining hub Union Market: Petite Loulou. The local creperie, started by Fiola alum turned restaurateur Stefano Frigerio, has a brick-and-mortar location in Purcellville, Virginia. Expect over a dozen cooked-to-order crepes ranging from sweet (apricot jam and whipped cream; strawberries and Nutella) to savory (pesto chicken; smoked salmon with sour cream).

Over in Sperryville, Virginia, chef and restaurateur John MacPherson tells Eater his new tasting menu-centric venture, Three Blacksmiths, will serve its first prix fixe meal ($99 per person; $169 with drink pairings) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 7. Three Blacksmiths is projected to operate from Thursday through Saturday.
