The shutter

Pleasant Pops is closing up shop at its downtown location, PoPville reports, but pineapple basil popsicle fans will still be able to find them at the AdMo shop. Pleasant Pops wrote on Facebook: “Our downtown shop will be closing July 30. We got an offer that was too good to pass up. We’ll still be poppin’ seven days a week in Adams Morgan and delivering via Ubereats, Grubhub and Postmates. Thanks for your support the past three years!”

Secret menus

Just say the words “pancake tacos” at Pearl Street Warehouse during breakfast time, and the Washington City Paper reports that Chef Robert Brown will whip up this creative mashup. There’s a savory and a sweet option, and WCP finds that the pancake is a surprisingly good vessel for taco filling.

Coming soon to Bethesda

Yet another poke place is on track to open. Robert Dyer finds that Poke Dojo is on the way to getting its own location at Bethesda Row.

Coming soon to Adams Morgan

PoPville spotted signage for a new Peruvian restaurant that looks to be moving into the space in Adams Morgan formerly occupied by another Peruvian restaurant, Las Canteras Peruvian Restaurant, which closed in March after a decade in business.
