Buddies Barack Obama and Joe Biden grabbed lunch yesterday at Georgetown’s Dog Tag Bakery, a nonprofit that helps veterans and military spouses and caregivers get a leg up in business. Just about everyone in the vicinity freaked out, reports the Washington Post, and a small crowd gathered outside. The former Vice President and president chatted with patrons and ordered ham and gruyere and turkey and brie sandwiches along with a fennel salad, mint-basil olive oil cake, a chocolate chip cookie, and a brownie, according to the Washingtonian.
There’s news on the new Bob and Edith’s diner headed to Arlington in the space occupied for decades by Linda’s Cafe. Now that Linda’s Cafe is officially closed, ARLnow reports that ARLnow the new Bob and Edith’s could open in the next six to nine months.
