Bobby Flay Is Manning the Grills in D.C. Today

Bobby Flay is in the neighborhood today — visiting his D.C. location of Bobby’s Burger Palace to celebrate the chain’s 10th anniversary. Flay will be manning the grill starting at 4p.m. Also, the first 100 folks through the door get a free burger and fries — after that, everyone gets free fries with burger purchase.

31-year-old Georgetown Italian restaurant Paolo’s Ristorante has closed, reports Georgetowner. The blog notes that while the restaurant earned praise for its happy hour and pizza, the menu was considered out of date by many. [GEORGETOWNER]

Potbelly, the massive sandwich chain, is basically giving away its sandwiches. Until September 2, the chain — with plenty of D.C.-area locations — has a deal where buying one “A Wreck” sandwich (which includes basically every meat: salami, roast beef, ham, turkey) earns another.
