Petworth’s neighborhood taqueria Mezcalero (3714 14th Street NW) is growing into the vacant space next door. Seasoned restaurateur Alfredo Solis tells Eater “it’s true,” adding “we’re excited to be growing and looking forward to opening the expanded space early next year.” Popville first spotted movement inside the former Tienda La Union space this week. The block is about to welcome a new cuisine with the arrival of Solis’ Cuban-themed Little Havana on Friday, August 10.
