Del Ray’s New Beer Garden Is On Its Way for a 2018 Opening

Alexandria’s Del Ray neighborhood is still on track to get a beer garden by the end of this year. The Washington Business Journal reports that Matt Rofougaran and Paymon Hadjiesmaeiloo of Virginia watering hole Tysons Biergarten are working on Hops ’n’ Shine, a restaurant, bar, and beer garden located in a former Peruvian chicken restaurant at the north end of Del Ray’s Mount Vernon Avenue strip of local restaurants and businesses.

Expect to find cheese-covered tater tots, grilled cheese, and salads on the menu along with a spotlight on craft beer at Hops ’n’ Shine. Meanwhile, Tysons Biergarten will move next year to a new spot along the Silver line: that beer garden will pop up next by the McLean Metro, according to WBJ.
