The owners behind long-running Georgetown restaurant Peacock Cafe are branching out. The Washington Business Journal reports that the brothers behind Peacock Cafe, Maziar and Shahab Farivar, are taking over the former Scion restaurant space at 2100 P St. NW.
The hope is to open a new, un-named restaurant with an internationally-inspired menu in that space in early 2019. Hopefully the skinny fries from Peacock Cafe will come too. Peacock Cafe’s been in Georgetown since 1991, but this is the first restaurant expansion for the Farivars in years.
This isn’t the only newcomer in the works for the P Street section of Dupont Circle: Chinese-meets-Korean fast-casual spot Chiko is moving in too.
