Pike & Rose, the budding North Bethesda complex that can’t seem to stop inking new restaurant leases, just announced its latest: Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão.

The international carnivorous chain, which offers endless steaks on sticks and weekday happy hour, will slide into a vacant space formerly occupied by a Nike pop-up store (11600 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, Md.). The 8,700-square-foot location, projected to open in early 2019, will be the brand’s 41st across the world and the third in the D.C. area (the two others sit in Tysons Corner and downtown).

Fogo de Chão, founded in Southern Brazil in 1979, currently has 52 locations spread across Brazil, the U.S., Mexico, and the Middle East.

More than 50 tenants across 350,000 square feet call Federal Realty’s Pike & Rose complex home. Recent arrivals include Jinya Ramen Bar and Pinstripes, with French-Mediterranean eatery Julii, Cincinnati’s taco and tequila chain Nada, and Sunday Morning Bakehouse coming in the next year.
