The Washingtonian posts spectacular photos from The Inn at Little Washington’s inaugural “Innstock” celebration, which reunited 20 alumni sous chefs. The Inn at Little Washington’s Patrick O’Connell joined Chef José Andrés in a hot air balloon, and Andrés communed with The Inn’s guardian llamas.

Restaurant openings
Shake Shack is opening its first location in Potomac on Thursday, September 6 at 11 a.m. in the Cabin John Village shopping center. The Cabin John Shake Shack will be located at 7997 Tuckerman Lane, Potomac, Md. This location of the burger and crinkle fry outpost will serve local beers from Flying Dog Brewery, DC Brau, and 3 Stars Brewing Company along with unique frozen custard concretes like the Pie Oh My, a vanilla custard garnished with a slice of Sweetly Anchored seasonal pie. The first 100 people in line when doors open at 11 a.m. will receive the Pie Oh My concrete for free.
