An all-day extension of Shirlington’s Best Buns Bread Company is scheduled to arrive in Tysons Corner this weekend, marking the first opening at Great American Restaurant Group’s three-part culinary cluster coming to Leesburg Pike.
Best Buns Bakery & Cafe (8051 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, Virginia) will debut on Saturday, May 25, with fresh-baked breads, pastries, and sweets, joined by milkshakes, coffees, sandwiches, salads, soups, sides, and burgers.
Carbs made daily at its Shirlington bread bar will help build sandwiches, which include a chicken salad on rustic Italian and the “Mike’s Favorite” with ham, havarti, and dijon mayo on rosemary bread. Here’s a look at the opening menu:

The decades-old restaurant group, which grew from a small pizzeria in Fairfax to a 13-business lineup of Northern Virginia staples such as Sweetwater Tavern, Carlyle, and Mike’s “American” grill, will add two new brands to the Tysons Corner complex soon. Patsy’s American is expected to arrive before the end of the month, followed by the debut of Randy’s Prime Seafood & Steaks in June.
Northern Virginia Magazine reported that three quarters of the menu at Patsy’s, named after partner Randy Norton’s wife, will feature “all-star dishes” from across GAR’s restaurants. Its prolific portfolio also includes Artie’s, Jackson’s, Ozzie’s Good Eats, Coastal Flats, and Silverado.
Randy’s will cater to a ritzier crowd than GAR’s other restaurants. The 28-table establishment will traffic in seafood towers, wagyu steaks, and an American-heavy wine list with critics’ ratings of various vintages printed on the menu.
