Goodbye to Mount Vernon’s Le Pain Quotidien

A PoPville reader captured a photo of French cafe and coffee house chain Le Pain Quotidien taking down its signage at the Mount Vernon Triangle location at 433 Massachusetts Avenue NW. The location’s Yelp page reports it as closed and the phone rang and rang when Eater called.

Polished Pig Media is now Sprouthouse

It’s a new era for hospitality-focused PR firm Polished Pig Media, whose past and present D.C. clients include Reverie, Columbia Room, Little Red Fox, Little Sesame, and more. The Washington Business Journal reports that company just rebranded and changed its name to Sprouthouse.

An Ethiopian-French cafe is back

Addis Paris Cafe looked to be a goner, but PoPville spied signage on the papered-over window that indicates it isn’t closing after all, just renovating. This Ethiopian-French cafe is located at 3103 Mount Pleasant Street, NW, and opened up back in spring 2018. Its website reads: “We are closed for renovations this week. Check back soon!”
