In their ongoing quest to fix the infamous fan experience at FedEx Field, the Washington Redskins have brought in the proud owner of Food Network’s most famous frosted tips. Guy Fieri is rolling out to Landover, Maryland — or at least his burgeoning chicken tender chain is.

The addition of a Chicken Guy! concessions stand headlined the new additions to the food and beverage lineup that Washington’s NFL team announced it will sell in the upcoming football season. The team unveiled its new options to the media during an event at the stadium earlier this week. Last year, Washington’s attendance reportedly dropped 19 percent from the previous season, the worst fall in the league. The Redskins ranked 27th among 32 NFL teams in average attendance.

The beloved Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives host partnered with Planet Hollywood founder Robert Earl to open the first Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida, in July 2018. A second location in a Miami mall opened this past February.

According to the Chicken Guy! website, the restaurant’s tenders are brined in lemon juice, pickle brine, and buttermilk. A major selling point is the inclusion of 22 dipping sauces ranging from Donkey Sauce (mayonnaise, roasted garlic, mustard, Worcestershire, lemon) to avocado crema and bourbon brown sugar bbq.

Some other new options at the stadium include a veggie dog from Ben’s Chili Bowl, funnel cake fries from Boardwalk Fries, a bacon avocado ranch burger from Johnny Rockets, a slow-roasted beef brisket grilled cheese, and bowls from Territory Foods devoid of gluten, dairy, or sugar.

The Washington Post reports that Meridian Pint’s Jace Gonnerman is again serving as a craft beer consultant, and early home games will have Port City Optimal Wit, Union Divine IPA, Elder Pine Pilsner, Flying Dog Thunderpeel, and Devils Backbone Vienna Lager.

Washington hosts its first preseason game of the year against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, August 15. The regular season home opener is Sunday, September 15, against the rival Dallas Cowboys.

Fieri also has Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen + Bar in the nearby city’s Horseshoe Casino.
