Acclaimed D.C. pastry chefs Paola Velez and Willa Pelini’s “worldwide virtual bake sale” Bakers Against Racism kicks off this week, with treats raising funds for local Black Lives Matter chapters or to other organizations supporting the movement’s efforts. Pre-sale is open now for socially-distanced pickups or deliveries through Saturday, June 20th. Chef Rob Rubba is providing marketing graphics for the bake sale.

Want to support the cause with cake, cookies, and ice cream? Buttercream Bakeshop pastry chef Tiffany MacIsaac’s been listing local participants on Instagram, and here is an abbreviated, recently updated list of local bakeries, bakers, and restaurants who are taking part in #Bakersagainstracism. Check out the links below for ordering details and information about where each business is donating funds raised from the bake sale.

Is your favorite bakery or restaurant is missing from the list? Please email the tipline.
