Little Miner Taco Secures a Space in D.C for Quesabirria and Hot Chicken Sandwiches

Little Miner Taco, the D.C. area food truck that operates food hall stalls in Brentwood and North Bethesda, Maryland, is expanding upon the viral success of its cheesy beef birria tacos, burritos, and carne asada fries. Chef-owner Mackenzie Kitburi tells Eater he’s made a deal for a short-term lease to open Little Miner’s first location inside D.C. lines, a takeout-only spot in Brookland (3514 12th Street NE). Kitburi intends to use the space as support kitchen for the Little Miner truck at first. By May, he plans to open two carryout windows: one for Little Miner, and the other for his Nashville hot chicken sandwich brand, Little Fire Bird, which is only available through Little Miner’s outpost at the Block inside the Pike & Rose development in North Bethesda. Kitburi also operates Little Vibe Cafe at the Block.
