A sprawling outdoor beer garden with 24 tap lines just landed atop the Tysons Corner campus of credit card titan Capital One.

The 2.5-acre sky garden and public park dubbed The Perch is centered around Starr Hill Biergarten, a 5,000-square-foot bar and lounge with an adjacent amphitheater and lawn seating (1803 Capital One Drive, Tysons, Virginia).

Draft lines are filled out by ciders, hard seltzers, and the same popular brews made at Starr Hill Brewery’s Crozet, Virginia facility. An opening list of bar bites includes fried cauliflower, salads, burgers, and pulled chicken sandwiches.

Situated off the McLean Metro Station, the 6 million-square-foot entertainment hub called Capital One Center will eventually house retail, a performing arts center called Capital One Hall, and the 300-room The Watermark Hotel opening later this year.

To commemorate The Perch part’s opening, a “Perchfest” party is scheduled for Friday, September 17, to Sunday, September 19, to benefit Best Buddies of Northern Virginia and DC. The three-day event will feature local bands, DJs, Tysons vendors, games, and a special Starr Hill release called Perchfest Session IPA on tap. Register to reserve a ticket.
