Poste Moderne Brasserie
If you really want to go out in style, check out "The Final Feast - An End of Days Dinner" at Poste. Chef Dennis Marron is preparing a six course dinner with wine pairings. The meal has plenty of decadent, you-only-live-once ingredients like fois gras and caviar. It'll set you back $180.

On Thursday, Dec. 20, Rustico celebrates two things at once: Festivus, and the impending end of the world. The end of days draft list includes such beers as DC Brau On the Wings of Armageddon. Stillwater Existent and Terrapin Hopsecutioner. There will be a la carte specials, too.

Oyamel Cocina Mexicana
Oyamel is planning a bunch of specials on Dec. 21 to reflect the end of the Mayan calendar. Chef Omar Rodriguez has a bunch of new tacos, with ingredients like fois gras and lobster, and entrees such as duck fat poached halibut. Expect custom cocktails, too.

Equinox
Equinox is wrapping the apocalypse theme into its annual Winter Solstice Celebration on Dec. 21. Tickets are $100 and the menu includes such dishes as fatty crab beignets and smoked apple chestnut soup, along with wines.

Union Station
TGI Friday's is hosting a block party at Union Station beginning at 5 p.m. with a "The Last Friday" theme. Local TGI Friday's locations are also running specials. They've got a whole apocalypse website going, too.

The Jefferson Hotel
At Plume in the Jefferson Hotel, the restaurant will be serving up a End of the Mayan Calendar Tasting Menu for $85 per person on Friday and Saturday nights. Dishes on the menu include lobster thermidor gratin and pave of Kobe beef. You also can get the menu's caviar tacos a la carte in the Quill lounge all month.
