Football season is here, which gives any sports fan an excuse to gather on Saturdays and Sundays to drink cheap beer and gorge on greasy bar food. But many times, watching a game in public is only as good as the crowd. Anyone set on rooting for their alma mater or hometown pro team can use this guide to find friendly territory each time kickoff rolls around.

Meanwhile, looking to watch the home team? Odds are, it won't be hard to find a bar playing Redskins games in Washington, but among some of the standouts: Bracket Room, The Blaguard, Lou's City Bar, Nellie's and more.

Where do you go to cheer on your favorite team? Share the bar — and your team — in the comments.
