Making a plan for sustenance is an important part of maintaining stamina for any late night excursion, regardless of whether or not lots of drinking is involved. D.C. has had a consistently good array of late night dining options for those who fin hunger striking at unexpected times, but it continues to broaden as restaurant options sprout all over the area.

The following is a list of newer restaurants that have either expanded their regular menu beyond the regular cutoff times of around 10 or 11 p.m. Or they've introduced new limited late night menus with specific items from their regular menus.

Here, find an array of late night eats. Yes, there are of course new diners, burgers, and pizza on the list. There are also several options for gourmet tots. But also find Chinese dumplings, Vietnamese fried rice, several seafood dishes, along with arepas and buñuelos. Some of the restaurants even serve dessert.

Editor's note: Bonfire has been removed from this map because the kitchen closes at 11 p.m. on weekends and 10 p.m. on weekdays.
