It's been a good six months for Arlington. Last year started off strong with such high-profile openings as SER, Kapnos Taverna and Peter Chang. And it soon became clear that development for the Virginia neighborhood wasn't slowing down anytime soon.

This map highlights eight prominent newcomers. But the recent months have also brought such arrivals as Korean fried chicken restaurant Dak, Falls Church offshoot Maneki Neko Express, Australian restaurant Oz, pizza joints Brixx and Upper Crust, Crystal City's Mezeh Mediterranean and Grill Kabob, Page from Carla Hall, Kapnos and Reservoir (at the airport), Pho Deluxe (for the obvious), and sushi burrito purveyor Rolls by U.
