Where to Eat Pizza by the Slice in D.C.

Why go for a whole pie when a slice is nice?

Is there anything more versatile than pizza by the slice?

It's a meal in a pinch, a snack to hold a diner over before dinner or a late night hunger fix. But when it comes to popular D.C. pizza, the Neapolitan and wood-fired varieties seem to reign supreme, though lately fast-casual pizza places are making their mark as well.

Sure, there's always Jumbo slice, but a decent slice of pizza, reheated and served on a paper plate can sometimes be one of the hardest things to find, especially compared to cities like New York with more of a pizza by-the-slice culture.

But rejoice: here are places to find it locally. Just remember the golden rule: When you eat it, fold the slice in-half or risk pizza grease stains forever.
