In a city like this D.C., with a crowded metro, tiny apartments and constant jockeying for parking spaces, it’s a priceless experience to not bump elbows with strangers. That's why it feels special when friends and family can all enjoy each other's company in a private dining room, away from the crowd.

Go with a classic steakhouse experience at classic downtown restaurants like Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab or Charlie Palmer’s Steak. Or pick from one of many event spaces at the tri-level Officina at the Wharf or Navy Yard’s new destination for Mexican, Mission.

D.C.'s a great place for restaurant-based entertaining, whether it be holiday parties, local fundraisers or just friends getting together. Here's an updated map of dozens of restaurants with notable private dining options available. Contact the restaurant for pricing info.
