One of the best ways to embrace the cold is to huddle around a fire pit and toast s’mores. The nostalgic campfire combo of gooey toasted marshmallows and rich melted chocolate sandwiched between graham crackers takes on various forms around town these days — in cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, and bars. Baked & Wired’s “OMG bar” and DC Harvest’s marshmallow-topped chocolate pot remain longtime favorite interpretations in D.C., and Bourbon Steak just revived a show-stopping “smoked s’mores” dessert that’s surrounded by a cloud of smoke.

Traditional s’mores service is also rising in popularity this season. Eaton DC’s rooftop and Shaw Korean barbecue spot Gogi Yogi just rolled out the interactive option for the first time. The Wharf’s Airstream-turned-campfire pit remains temporarily closed during the pandemic.

Here are 13 spots to score a taste of the wintertime treat in some form or fashion.
