A Dozen Dishes to Eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Unsure where to go out to eat for the holidays? See what they're serving.
1. Teddy & The Bully Bar
Carving stations: If you're a sucker for hand-carved meats on the holiday, head to either Teddy & the Bully Bar or its sister restaurant, Lincoln. Both are featuring carving stations for the holiday; at Teddy, choose from Prime Rib, Honey Ham and Salmon. The Christmas Feast there is $58 per person.
2. The Grille at Morrison House
Figgy Pudding Biegnets: This intriguing sounding dessert is on the brunch menu for Christmas Day at the Grille. They'll be serving an a la carte menu all day.
3. Ulah Bistro
Lobster Pot Pie: Sample the decadent dish as one of the options for the $40 prix-fixe menu Ulah is offering on Christmas Eve.
Sushi: Sushiko will offer slightly abbreviated hours on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve but will offer its full menu of dishes for those looking for a non-traditional option.
5. The Fairmont Washington, D.C.
Shellfish: The Fairmont will be serving an Eastern shore shellfish bar at its Christmas Day brunch buffet (which also features such dishes as beef tenderloin and ham). it's $99 per person.
6. The Jefferson Hotel (Plume)
Goose: Roasted goose breast with a chestnut puree is one of the courses at Plume's Christmas Eve dinner. The multi-course menu is $110 per person.
7. Marcel's by Robert Wiedmaier
Boudin Blanc: Try Marcel's signature Boudin Blanc sausage dish in the restaurant's recently renovated dining room. The restaurant will serve its regular tasting menu on Christmas Eve.
Pan-roasted foie gras:: The delicacy is on the French-influenced $85 Christmas Eve menu at Bastille, along with such dishes as lobster bisque and Hudson Valley duck breast.
9. Boss Shepherd's
Dom Perignon. Pop a cork on Christmas Eve at Boss Shepherd's, where they'll serve their regular menu along with $199 bottles of Dom and specials including buttered lobster and sweet potato dumplings and a Ribeye steak. The restaurant is closed on Christmas Day.
10. America Eats Tavern
A Cookie Buffet: For its Christmas Day brunch, America Eats Tavern is offering a cookie buffet for an additional $12, along with its typical brunch offerings and some specials such as prime rib.
11. Blue Duck Tavern
Shrimp and Grits: Blue Duck will offer a multi-course brunch menu for $100, with shrimp and grits as one of the featured dishes. There will be a variety of starters and sides, as well as holiday desserts, available all day. Blue Duck will serve its regular a la carte menu Christmas Eve, along with some specials.

Calf brains and lamb tongue: Who needs the Feast of the Seven Fishes? Del Campo is doing the Feast of the Seven Beasts, with courses ranging from beef shank with bone marrow polento to those aforementioned calf brains (smoked, with scrambled eggs). The meal is available from Dec. 19-24 for $78 per person.
