The holiday season is full of excuses to gather around the dinner table for a big meal with friends. Among these is Feast of the Seven Fishes, an Italian-American Christmas Eve dining tradition that's catching on in D.C.

It's an excellent opportunity for seafood-loving chefs to showcase all manner of fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. This year, popular dishes among participating restaurants include crudos, mussels, seafood pastas, and hearty fish.

This year's prix-fixe menus range in price from a modest $45 all the way up to an extravagant $150 tasting menu. Plus, there's no pressure to choose just one— several restaurants are offering the annual feast on multiple nights in addition to Christmas Eve.
