Ivanka Trump, the right-hand woman with a direct (blood)line to President Donald Trump, is quickly becoming the most visible member of the First Family here in Washington.
Whereas others affiliated with President Trump, appear to be in no rush to become District denizens, Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner — another trusted confidant whom POTUS has thrust into government work as a senior adviser — have already put down roots (temporarily?) in Kalorama. Small world: that just so happens to be the same neighborhood former president Barack Obama and his family relocated to after handing over the keys to 1600 Penn.
The prevailing wisdom is that the septuagenarian commander-in-chief is unlikely to deviate from a meat-and-potatoes existence facilitated by those catering to Papa Trump's existing business empire. Enter Ivanka Trump, who's begun making the rounds at local restaurants for both work and play.
Might Ivanka Trump follow in the trendsetting footsteps of former first lady Michelle Obama?
Only time will tell.
Come along as Ivanka Trump digests the dining scene of her newly adopted home.
