Get ready to ring in Year 5776. Rosh Hashanah, referred to as the Jewish New Year, takes place from sunset on Sunday, September 13, through Monday, September 14.

Traditional holiday food focuses on the sweet. Challah bread or apple dipped in honey symbolize nice wishes for the upcoming year. Customary gelatinous gefilte fish and soup studded with matzo balls also find their way onto many of the offered menus.
