"Working from home" really means working from a coffee shop. Hunkered over a laptop, browsing Facebook and occasionally side-glancing at the hottie at the next table really works up an appetite. And while pain au chocolat and muffins are de rigueur at cafes, some go the extra mile and offer more substantial and savory options, including breakfast sandwiches, danishes, quinoa oatmeal, frittatas and scones.

When it comes to enjoying something salty, these spots give patrons a reason to bring their mobile offices, order some caffeine and maybe actually get some work done.
