Apparently the colder weather has local chefs thinking about warm, comforting treats. Few sweets fit that description better than s'mores— the classic campfire combination of toasted marshmallows and gooey melted chocolate sandwiched between two graham crackers.

Newcomer Convivial currently has a s'mores-inspired dessert on the menu, and Bourbon Steak just introduced a new one, too. There are also s'mores cocktails, empanadas, and even a burrito right now.

The D.C. and Falls Church locations are both offering a s'mores doughnut as a special addition to the menu this month. The devil's food cake doughnut has a chocolate glaze with graham cracker crumbs, and there's a toasted marshmallow in the center.
