St. Patrick's Day is just a few days away, so it's time to finalize those drinking plans. After all, the holiday is all about imbibing and feasting among friends as well as embracing any inner Irish heritage. It's also an opportunity to guzzle cheap green beer or sip on an emerald-colored cocktail with (almost) total impunity.

Restaurants and bars across D.C. are preparing for the annual festivities, with everywhere from neighborhood Irish pubs to upscale cocktail bars getting in on the fun. Turns out, it's pretty easy drinking green. There are plenty of theme-appropriate drinks to take advantage of this year, featuring ingredients like green Chartreuse, Irish whiskey, homemade Irish cream, and, of course, the omnipresent green-dyed beer.

These are some of the watering holes offering green adult beverages this Thursday. Many of them are opening their doors early — some even before lunch — leaving plenty of time for bar hopping.
