The NFL season concludes Sunday with Super Bowl LIV, and plenty of bars around D.C. are getting into the tailgating spirit. Looking to claim their second title in franchise history, the Kansas City Chiefs will pit their indomitable offense against the San Francisco 49ers and their relentless defense.

From an unlimited nacho bar at The Commentary, bottomless hot beer cheese at Theismann’s, an epic viewing bash at MGM National Harbor, kill-the-keg competition at the Crown & Crow, and a take-home option at Momofuku, there’s no shortage of options to take in football’s grand finale.

The big-ticket game starts at 6:30 p.m. from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, but many specials and festivities will begin before kickoff.

The owners of Takoma Park’s “fine-casual” Mexican counter have deep ties to San Francisco. They met while working together at a top restaurant in the Mission. A new events space upstairs will air the game alongside drink specials, nachos, and plenty of snacks.

The basement haunt on 14th Street NW throws a competitive “Kill the Keg” watch party, complete with brews from San Francisco (Anchor Steam) and Kansas City (Space Camper Cosmic IPA). Each pint is $4, and the first team to “tap” the keg wins free swag. Patrons can bring in their own food or have it delivered. Dogs that are good sports are allowed to join the party, too.
