Try this Chevy Chase restaurant at happy hour if the (totally worth it) omakase tasting menu is out of reach. Hand rolls are $5 and drinks specials are available from 5:30-7:30 p.m. daily.
This long-standing Tenleytown locale offers $1 sushi from 5-7:30 p.m. every day.
3. Tono Sushi
Tono Sushi has a daily happy hour until 7:30 p.m. Deals include some $1 nigiri, a few $3 rolls, and discounted drinks and small plates.
4. Wok and Roll
The patio in Adams Morgan is a prime location for people watching and $1.25 nigiri during the week from 5-8 p.m.
The sake hour at this sleek sushi joint runs from 4:30-8:03 p.m. (that’s weird) on every weekday but Wednesday, when the specials run all day long. For $5, customers can get beer, sake, some maki and temaki rolls, and certain small plates (cocktails drop to $10).
